Editing Arcane University:Rules


These are the Beyond Skyrim: Arcane University General Rules.
 
# The Arcane University is a place for focused learning and not off-topic discussion. For that, please go to the Community channels of our members. We are not here to teach you general everyday skills, this server purely exists as a recruitment and training tool for the partnered projects.
# As aforementioned, this server purely exists to recruit and train aspiring new members into the partnered projects. As per the concurrent Arcane University reforms, teachers and triumvirate members no longer have the obligation to teach absolutely everyone that enters the server. If we feel that a student is being difficult and immature by not listening to advice and teaching or are simply not progressing, we have the authority to bring this up in the moderation channel and if necessary remove them from their student role - and by extension possibly from the entire server as well
# Be prepared to receive constructive criticism. As teachers, we do not say what we say with malicious intent, we say what we say to help. This is not a place to expect sycophantic praise, if you cannot handle criticism or throw tantrums whenever you receive any, we have the authority to remove student roles or remove students from the server altogether should the moderation team find this necessary. 
# Respect the teachers and triumvirate. If a teacher or any member of the triumvirate makes a request or issues a warning, you should comply with it. We do this for free in our own time.  We do not have the time to sit around arguing. If you defy the will of either a teacher or a triumvirate member, you will be subject to moderator actions.
# Treat other members with the respect they deserve. This goes without saying but treat others how you would want to be treated.
# This server does not allow for the advertisement of other mods, projects, or anything else. The purpose of this server is to train future developers for the partner projects. If you want to get members for your own Skyrim related endeavours, please do it outside of the Arcane University.
# If you are banned from any of the community servers of the partnered projects, then you will be instantly banned from the Arcane University as well. The Arcane University is also not a place to argue or contest bans carried over from said other servers.
# The chat is English only. While all languages are respected, the Arcane University team primarily communicates in English. If & when possible please speak in English.
# Please do not spam. This includes spamming in any form, from constantly harassing other server members through to spamming images or emotes. Anyone that does spam is subject to moderator actions.
# Insulting, belligerent or personal attacks against other members are not tolerated in any form. Please be respectful in chat, members who fail to do so will be dealt with accordingly.
# No talk of religion, politics, or other sensitive subjects. There are many places on the internet you can discuss these things, but this is not one of those places. Those who bring up or foster discussion centred around these topics will be subject to moderator actions. Likewise,  anyone who submits videos, memes, jokes, profile pictures, political names or comments about or related to the following can expect to receive a warning and to be banned if they break the rule again. For the most part our community rules are identical to Discord's (https://discordapp.com/guidelines) but for clarification these subjects are forbidden in our server:

# Do not post NSFW topics, links, or images. This is self-explanatory. Failure to comply will result in a warning. However, some 2D art concerning anatomy studies that depicts nudity or whatever is allowed in context. Please post it with a spoiler warning.
# No links to or talk of committing piracy either by yourself or someone else. The Arcane University does not condone theft and we will not take too kindly to those that actively partake in it.
# Members of this Server are moderated by both the spirit and the letter of the server rules; and the rules of this server are interpreted by the moderation team, not members.
# Moderators' decisions are final. Attempts by members to circumvent moderator requests, responding to a moderator's request in any unsatisfactory manner or in any other way attempting to game interpretation of the rules here will be taken as a breach of the spirit of the server rules, if not also the letter. This will result in a kick and/or ban.
# We'll teach you the skills necessary to join any of the partner projects, however, this does not guarantee you getting into any of the projects and at the end of the day, what you do with the knowledge acquired here it's yours to decide.
