PyNifly is an addon for Blender that allows direct import and export of .nif files. It is available on GitHub. Some information and documentation can be found on its wiki.
Import[edit]
Models can be imported with File > Import > Nif file with Nifly (.nif).
Export[edit]
Models can be imported with File > Export > Nif file with Nifly (.nif).
